Strike is still on, If FG refuse to implement the offers- says ASUU

The Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU), on Thursday said if the Federal Government refused to implement the agreement made to the union after their last meeting, the strike will still be continue.

The university lecturers said they were tired of Federal Government’s ways of making unfulfilled promises, insisting that the strike won’t be called of, until there are tangible evidence and concrete actions that the offers made to them by the Federal Government is implemented.

Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, said the team of the union that met  with the government on Tuesday did not reach any agreement with the Federal Government.

When he was asked if the strike would be called off, Ogunyemi said, “Our members said they want to see evidence of satisfactory implementation of all they have proposed before the strike can be called off.”
